From the wilds of rural North Yorkshire to the sophisticated suburbs of York, the intrepid members of TRIO GITAN spend their free time swimming in the cold fell waters of the River Swale, playing wild violin licks to singing dogs and transporting double basses and acoustic guitars through idyllic Swaledale to an assortment of venues up and down the country, including Racecourses, Parties, Street Performances and Caravan Shows, plus more prestigious venues such as Swaledale and Grassington Festivals, repeat bookings at Zefferellis in Ambleside, and sell out concerts at Harrogate Theatre and Otley Courthouse.
An evening with Trio Gitan will take you through the evocative sounds of Parisien cafe music, hot blooded tango's, wild European gypsy music, Mediterranean dance tunes, swing classics and their own powerful and driving compositions. All blended together to create a vivacious, dynamic and awe inspiring night of entertainment of the highest calibre. This music evokes electrifying guitar solos, fiery gypsy violins, and songs with plenty with vocal harmonies
This band are truly unique, entertaining and work really hard to give you an evening of wonderful music and song.
